The Consoling Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus were founded with a singular purpose: to bring consolation to the Heart of Christ through a life of prayer, sacrifice, and service.
From their motherhouse in Italy, the sisters live a deeply rooted religious life, offering each day for the sanctification of souls and the faithful preservation of Catholic tradition.
Their mission extends beyond the cloister into active works of charity. Across their communities, they serve in schools, care for children, assist in parish life, and support those in need—always guided by their devotion to the Sacred Heart.
Every work they undertake flows from a life of prayer, uniting contemplation with tangible acts of love.

CHARISM & SPIRIT
BRIEF HISTORY

1961 – The community is founded in Italy and established within the Diocese of Civita Castellana.

1996 – Spiritual guidance is entrusted to priests of the Society of Saint Pius X.

2000–Present – The community grows steadily, expanding its presence across multiple countries.

2021 – A novitiate is established in Italy to support the formation of new sisters.

2023 – A new foundation is opened in the United States, marking continued growth and opportunity.
DAILY LIFE
The life of the sisters is centered on prayer.
Each day is anchored by Holy Mass, the Divine Office, and time spent in Eucharistic Adoration. These moments of prayer are joined with the humble duties of daily life—teaching, caring for children, and assisting in the needs of their communities.
Their vocation is largely hidden, marked by silence, discipline, and devotion. Yet through this quiet fidelity, their lives bear deep spiritual fruit.
A MISSION THAT CONTINUES TO GROW
As more young women respond to this call to religious life, the need for places of formation continues to grow.
The mission of the sisters remains the same, but the opportunity to support and expand it is before us.
A new novitiate will provide a dedicated space for prayer, formation, and the continuation of this life of devotion for generations to come.
