Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

Another year has gone by, full of memories and of acts of love for Our Lord.

New Beginnings in Phoenix

The past year was a great change for our Sisters here in Phoenix, because from five Sisters we stepped up to seven Sisters and ten pre-postulants. They started their first steps in the religious life under the burning fire of the sun of Phoenix and of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They helped us in various apostolic activities such as recreation at school and Sunday Catechism, and they tried successfully to learn Italian in a completely English-speaking world.

Thanks to many prayers, they all received their visas, which allowed them to go to Italy this past June to continue their formation.

On the 10th of August of this year, another eleven pre-postulants joined us here in Phoenix for a new adventure.

A Future Novitiate in Denver

Last January, Fr. Du Chalard, Mother Maria Rita, and Sr. Maria Veronica paid us a visit to decide where in the United States a Novitiate should be opened. Since in Narni the vocations are coming from all over the world, the Novitiate there is more than full.

The chosen place to locate the new Novitiate is Denver, Colorado, where, thanks to the generosity of a family, a big piece of land was donated. Now it remains only to be built… Where exactly will it be? How big? Providence is guiding us in these decisions step by step.

A Journey to Italy

This past June, ten Children of Mary came with us to Italy for ten days. They earned their tickets with bake sales, and thus had the opportunity to see the Novitiate in person, to get to know the Sisters and Novices, to help with the preparations and be present at the first profession of eighteen novices, and to visit Rome and Assisi.

It was a great event for them. They all want to go back, and we are sure it will bring forth everlasting fruits for the good of their souls.

Graces Along the Way

During the summer, Providence gave us the great gift to participate with almost the whole of the Congregation at the episcopal Consecrations in Écône. What a ceremony! How rich in symbolism and beautiful, and how many graces!

At our return from Italy, we had the grace to visit Fr. Nichols in his last days of earthly pilgrimage, to pray and sing for him, and to assist him in his last moments. May his soul rest in peace, and may God reward him for all the good he has done in his priestly life.

Right after Fr. Nichols had passed away, we organized the two-day camp for the little girls here in the priory and then the ten-day camp for the older girls in Flagstaff.

Serving Wherever Providence Leads

School, the Children of Mary, and Sunday Catechism fill our weeks, which are full of adventures and unforeseen events, occasions to console the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and to offer acts of virtue for the sanctification of priests.

Not many churches are blessed to have Sisters, so some priests asked us to go and visit their schools or priories, to give the faithful and young ladies an opportunity to have some personal contact with Religious.

Therefore, we visited Florida and Syracuse, where we participated in the Auriesville pilgrimage, as well as Los Gatos and San Jose. In Post Falls we organized a First Communion Recollection Day for the children, and in August we joined in the Cabrini pilgrimage.

We are so thankful for the priests, who work so hard for the salvation of souls, and who give us the honor to participate in this work of mercy.

Continue Praying for Us

Continue praying for us, please, so that we always persist in serving Our Lord faithfully and contribute to restoring the Reign of Jesus Christ.

May God bless you and grant you a holy month of the Rosary.
